Managed to get to skate Battleground, Tigard and Newberg this weekend. A good weekend for skating even if we had to contend with rain, wind, hail and snow. Sure there was some waiting for parks to dry, but overall it was a good time. Blew out a bearing at Battleground which combined with the rain and hail ended that session. Patched up the wheel for sunday and hit Tigard for the first time - crazy park, but it was wet and not drying fast... we did the careful roll. The small bowl was dry,street course area was a bit more wet, but if you were sure footed it worked out. Of course then it started to snow and hail... We decided to keep going west, it was misting when we arrived at Newberg, but it promptly cleared and we skated for a couple hours. Sometime during the session I looked over to see a kid drop in and second guess himself as he was putting his foot on the board, foot half missed the board and the kid went down. I thought "he's done". Sure enough his foot was facing the wrong way - busted leg. No fun.
