I think winter may officially be upon the Northwest. The rain today had all the characteristics of the winter rain: cold, raw, misty with defined drops interdispersed, not enough to totally foil your vision, just enough to make me squint (even through my glasses). The sky was low, flat and dark grey - nothing lighter than say 40% black and the wind was back. The winter wind is a bit more subtle than the distinctive Portland summer wind. The winter wind blankets everything and in doing so you don't really notice the totality of the wind, you just notice you're pedaling and not going anywhere. I'm glad to get on with the winter, however in retrospect I wish I let sacha talk me into disk breaks on my bike.

I finally put in a few "real" hours on the redesign of the (em) site. I think it will actually happen this time.

Also moving up into the realm of "I think it will happen" is (em) zine #16. My buddy Seng called me out on not doing another issue. I get a package in the mail from him, a little publication, four color cover, good paper, maybe 32 pages or so - a zine about the messenger world championships. His note reads something like this, "hey, I put this together in 24 hours, where is the next issue of (em)?" Yeah, I gotta get back on that horse now that I'm all out of debt. I'm checking into doing a little CD with it as well. We shall see what happens. If anyone out there reading this wants to contribute to this upcoming issue please get in touch. I can use writing, photography, comics, donations of printing or paper. I'm looking for all manner of help. I don't pay, but I am appreciative!

There it is Monday morning.
