Too much coffee and sugar causes me to shutdown and get jumpy at the same time. I'm all over it. ICK. I've been having some good times at home playing with some web design stuff. I've been meeting with sucess more than failure and most of my failures I now understand and can fix or get around. Learning is exciting and fun. Maybe I can get this site updated next!! I think I can I think I can... I know you've heard it before.
I was supose to rain all week here, so I put my fenders back on my trusty bike and sure enough the laws of irony kicked in and it has been sunny and warm ever since.
I get to spend the weekend in NYC for work - I love it! Sure monday I have to do some work, if you consider my occupation work - drawing pictures on a computer... or in mondays case checking out retail spaces so we can better hook them up with fancy graphics. ...And while I'm measuring expensive retail space and documenting what kind of cool fixtures will fit where there will be more genocide in Sudan and more people in America will be killed in Iraq, more citizens of Iraq will die, Americans will go hungry and without health insurence, but the capitalist machine marches on.
I've been watching the debates and while the refrain of "I will hunt and kill the terrorists..." echos in my head I can't help but think maybe, just maybe were fighting the symptom and not the disease. Maybe instead of focusing on killing terrorists we should focus on aliving the social and economic factors that breed "terrorists". While I'm at it I'm still confused about what a "terrorist" is. By all standards we (America) are as much "terrorists" as is Bin Ladin... You attacking a country without cause for idological reasons... to spread fear, killing innocent people... So in case you were not feeling lucky and privledged you should now start doing so. I guess some folks would call me a terrorist... or at least a traitor for questioning our regime, but those people are fools who god will deliver his wrath onto with much fury and locusts and other kinds of disaster like huricanes.
I like to invoke god when it suites me. I have a great relationship with god and this other imaginary friend of mine named sammy. God fully understands where I'm coming from and has assured me that when I die I'll rot in the ground feeling neither heat nor cold. Then we started talking about gay marrige and he was all for it. He was all like "Do you really think I have time to care who somebody loves, fuck I've got all sorts of other bigger problems to deal with, shit I can't even keep priests from molesting children, why the fuck can't they write some sort of constitutional ammendment banning priest from fucking children - now that would be progress!" I like "Damn straight God" Then God added "shit, if I was as all powerful as everyone thinks I am don't you think I'd at the very least have given you a better grasp on the english language both in spelling and in grammar." I was like "Dude, you are a pussy." He was like "whatever I can see anyone I want naked at anytime so fuck you." How do you respond to that one? God one, jered zero.

This morning I'm riding my bike to work like so many other days and the guy riding behind me called to my attention something that had been bugging me for quite some time. Frequently when I am making the last turn into "campus" some jackass (usually in some type of monster truck or midlife crisis sportscar) blazes past me, cuts me off and then slows way down around the corner so that I have to break because my bike seems to be able to corner better than all trucks and 99% of sports cars. Are these people so excited about work that they have to get there as fast as they can? I was under the assumption that being that I'm working for a large athletics company these people would be courteous to people out exercising and commuting via non poluting means. Being that we sponsor the only man to win the Tour de France six times I though most people working at the company would have an elevated awareness of cycling be inclined to treat cyclists with respect. I guess not. Shit, I could be Lance. This moron this morning driving the large pickup with the Bush sticker could have been endangering the greatest cyclist in the world in his rush to get to work. It made perfect sense when I saw the Bush sticker. On the bright side now that Bush neglected to resign the assult weapons ban I can go get a couple assult weapons to put on my bike and next time that happens I can take care of buisness.

Why does the web suck. I think of myself as a fairly smart guy, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make a website. The one you are currently reading sucks and despite my best efforts I can't make it better. I'm trying to make a new version of my wedding website, but the applications thwart me at every oppertunity. Previews are all wack text that looks great in the program looks like crap in the browser. Gifs with transparancy on that don't show up transparent in the browser - what the fuck? I'll win in the end. I'm on a mission now!
In other random news I finished a mountain bike for jess. I started building it almost two years ago and my friend Sacha of the infamous Vanilla Bicycles was showing me how to build a frame, yet I skated too much and hung out in the shop too little. Everything too me forever, I'd struggle for hours and sacha would braze and talk on the phone and make it look so easy. Then I got the frame painted and the paint show every imperfection in my filing work - sure it is strong, but my fillets are not buttery smooth and sexy. At anyrate parts are on and the bike looks hot. Flat black frame with all black components, it is full on darth vader! I'm a little jealous...maybe I'll spray my De Kerf flat black...
That brings me to the fact that in flat black almost anything looks really good. I have this pair of Jordan XIX lows that were super bright white (jered can not rock white shoes, especially white Jordans) and labor day came and went so I sprayed em' flat black and now the look great. The bonus comes with the leather as it breaks in and the paint cracks I get a really cool bobafet (sp?) look going. It is a good thing cause those shoes are like wearing pillows on your feet - soooo cushy.
